Coffee for the Prince!
Coffee for the prince?
Prince Peter (Dont forget the princess Erika) was such a good prince, that we should all thank him for his efforts by bringing coffee to his de crowning ….. I over heard this past summer that he had to pay for a “very expensive” cup of coffee so if every one brings some coffee for the prince…. Bring it in Bean form, that way on the cold winter nights, he can burn some energy up by grinding the beans from for his cup of fresh brewed coffee…… Lets also not forget the prince and princess from the Milwaukee Spielmannszug Prince Manuel and Princess Cornellia
Here are the mardi Gras events that are going to be happening for the 2007-2008 season:
Milwaukee Spielmannszug – Crowning at the Best West on November 10th, 2007
Rheinervering – Hopadeitz awaken 11:11 on November 11,th 2007 at the Bavarian inn
Rheinesh verin Crowning at the Wyndam hill on November 17th 2007 doors open at 7:00 PM

The Power of Radio
On Saturday I learned some interesting things………A listener went out of his way at Weissgerbers Oktoberfest to greet me and say hi, shook my hand, and said the usual things…. Then came the shocking part he told me he lived in area for 51 years and never knew that Weissgerbers existed! I questioned him a little more and knew about the various stations that the show has aired on, and he knew the history about the other German Radio shows that have been on the air in the past.
On Saturdays show, I also had Ellen from Wisconsin Greyhound Protection on air to talk about the up coming Greyhound Gala, on October 13Th, I thought the interview was great well….. In fact it was so great that several listeners who stopped by at the Gasthaus on Saturday told me they plan on being at the event as well…. In case you missed interview here is the web site for the GPA Wisconsin…..

The Rise and Fall of German Language Radio in the US
I was reading through the August 15th edition of Radio World http://www.rwonline.com/ and stumbled across this article http://www.radiogoethe.org/conpresso/wissenswertes_e/detail.php?nr=3954&kategorie=wissenswertes_e
German Radio Remains strong in southeastern Wisconsin, the launching of Breakfast Mit Hans is proof of that.
This year Continental Showcase did on-air give a ways of over 125 German fest tickets, 150 polish fest tickets and 20 Arab world fest tickets.... if you were in the studio and watched how crazy the phones are when i call out for caller 15 you would be surprised!
When your a winner we ask for your birthday so when you pick up your prize the station can verify who you are, this year we got birth years in the 50's, 60's and even 70's! This is great news for the show and listeners it means that we are attracting younger listeners and the show will go on!
